I'm not a person with sweet tooth actually. In fact, I dun like food that's sweet...except ...maybe the DEADLY chocolate.

BUT BUT!!! what to do....I have a NATURALLY HUGE appetite..and after my korean bbq dinner, I was STARVING still. so...erm....yeah...I went to one of a popular hotspot dessert place here... SPATS!!

well....there's nothing else for me to have at that time...And the main thing is the desserts looked so pretty and it can fill me up...mwahhahaha!!

It's a pretty nice place to come after dinner...and have a few chats with friends. It used to be a brothel though. I meant to put up some pics of cafe for u to see...but I cant find them. ANd unfortunately, we were unlucky enough that day to get a very weird position in the SPATS that day...OUTSIDE the toilet.

St Patrick's day!!! I was so looking forward to my GREEN beer...Dumped my work and made my friends wear green too.

BUT....but...they dun serve any green beer here in Adelaide!!!!WHat the... (>n<)

To make things worse, we went to the pub and it was too crowded.

SO...we had to go to the pub's function room instead...and SURPRISED~~~~

We saw a setting which actually reminded me of a typical chinese wedding with karaoke facitlities for u....except that the ppl were all IRISH and they were in GREEN. Hahahhaha...

And we were the ONLY asians there....they must be thinking we were cuckoo in our heads. Heheheh...BUt the IRISH were great ppl...they served us good food...and entertained us with their singing all the same.

Once awhile....little things do satisfy me. Even without MY green beer...(I'm not always fussy u knw).

PS: I just found out like 5mins ago...what ST patrick's day is all about...A religious day where you get to drink lotsa beer??!!!

It's been awhile... Was just so sick of writing these days...Have been writing up on my proposal for ETERNITY and it's still on going. booo!!! So pls forgive me...

A SUPER late Christmas n new year to everyone!! I blinked n Chrirstmas break was over...Blinked again...new year over.. blinked a thousand n one times n I still HAVENT finish my assignments. What the....okok...I'm not complaining. That's not the purpose of this entry.

hmmm...a lot of ppl asked me about my new year resolutions. They never worked for me...as in..I've never accomplished any.Hahahah...ANyway...I have heaps of things I wanna fo this year..

1. Stay healthy. No more aches n pains...
2. Stay sane. No more crazy thinkings..
3. Stay the same weight. SOmehow the air I breath in Australia makes me grow FAT...
4. Learn to talk less.
5. Start my exercise regime.
6. Eat my pocky more often. It gives me endophins..
7. Save up for at least ONE end of year concert!!!!!!!!!

That's all I can think of now. Hope everyone will have a great year ahead!!

Annoyed..I'm so annoyed.
Coming from a tropical island, I can't believe that I would actually hate summer. BUT I do now...the summer in Adelaide is CRAP!!

Ok...maybe my bad mood has something to do with my work that I can NEVER finish as well. It was so hot and dry for the past week...hit 41 degrees even. Then my sensitive skin started to be red n itchy n peeling away. SOO...I have to wear a sweater to protect myself. Ppl on the streets thought I was crazy I think.

BUT nothing beats the INCREDIBLY ANNOYING flies here. No no...I'm not joking. Flies in spore is this big. The flies here are this BIG....and they are retards as well. You wave at them...fling your arms around to shoo them away and they still will NOT barge.

THEN...one fine day...I was minding my own business walking on the street....this stupid big fat fly flew right into my nostril!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Surfer's paradise

I hate traveling...but I LOVE the beach too much. So I willingly took 3hrs and went all the way to surfer's paradise. WoO Hoo~~~

And I'm so glad I did. Cos when I reached there...I saw all my fave branded snobbish shops!! Ulu Adelaide dun have any...not even at the airport. Yes yes..I know you guys are going to say that I'm such a superficial person. I AM...so what...hahahhaha!!

This is NOT all...I never knew that surfer's paradise is a little mini Japan!! Oh man..I saw some really really cool Japanese guys....with tone and tanned bodies...walking around and carrying their surfboards...SO I rushed to the beach.... and then realised no one's really surfing then. boo HOO!!!!!!!!!

So me n my sis end up sitting there..listening to our fave SOUTHERN ALL STARS songs...but it was so windy we couldn't open out eyes..or talk properly. And we kept eating sand. It was so not ROMANTIC...urgh*

Sadly...that's why I can't show you any pics of cool surfers... I can only show you our ugly feet.(>_<) Forgive meeeeeeeee......

Brisbane --->>the SUNSHINE coast. And it RAINED the whole time I was there. what luck.
But the drive to Brisbane was all good. At least I didnt get carsick and had a typical good Aussie pub food.

I waited patiently at the cafe for 3 hours before she came to fetch me. Then to celebrate our "renioun"..we went for a nice dinner.mwahahhaha! Korean cuisine...Basically, Brisbane is a mini Korean city. Koreans everywhere. Korean restaurants...supermarkets...shops. I was amazed..

I'm back!! Had a great time in Brisbane..never been happier to see my dear dear SISTER...(^v^)
And not to forget the real purpose of me being in Brisbane. my FIRST conference for my candidature. It was AWSOME~~~~ Too many things that excite me...I wish I can tell you guys about EVERYTHING.

I managed to have my first ever KRISPY KREME doughnut!! Had a glazed raspberry one..okok..I admit...it was GOOD. But the trip to Fraser Island was horrendous...early flight to SYDney...then wait there for 3 hrs...then flew to hervey Bay..then take bus to jetty...then take ferry to island..then bus to resort......@_@

But it was worth it. The conference was GREAT. Met lotsa really great ppl...great scientists...and they sure love their drinks too. 300 bottles of red wine ALONE were finished on the very 1st night of the conference!!! I mean...thats excluding the white...the beer...champagne n what have you...I was truly AMAZED. Think they drank DRY the resort bar one night as well...applause*

Maybe the route to being a successful scientist is ALCOHOL. Heehee...I shall trial & error and let you guys know later. Although...as some of you know..me and alcohol, sadly, do not get along very well.

And applause to myself too. Hahahhaha!! Can't believe I'm brave enough to do this..okok..I meant thick-skinned. Imagine it was fine-dining dinner course...with all these great ppl sitting at the tabel with u. All I did was.."wa!!!food...so pretty!!I must take pic.." Then out came my digi cam...mwahahhahah...Of course my dinner was not just the above..but I was too embarrassed to do this everytime they serve me. Sad...

Anyway...I shant talk too much abt the conference. After that, I caught a ride to Brisbane city with a great bunch of ppl as well. SHall continue tmr.....I need my beauty sleep now...

Bear with me if the story is too long. I myself always have problems with Drs..some of you may be sick of listening to my complaints. BUT today...I shall tell you this super-DUPER evil Dr "cuckoo". It didnt happened to me but someone close to me. I shall name her A.

A was suppose to have minor operation on the ear.
WEnt to visit her after and she looked fine..n everyone is happy that it all went well.
EXCEPT.. the next morning..Dr "cuckoo" told her the actual scenerio.
They "opened" her..saw brain tumour..cant do anything to ear so "close" her back.

(DUH! do they have to wait till next day for something so IMPORTANT?!)

It was depressing for everyone...

AFter a few days, A suddenly had high fever..in so much pain that she cant move. Called GP...didnt turn up after THREE hours...SO ambulance was called and she was admitted back to hospital.
Fever didnt went down a bit..A was give morphine cause of the pain. After TWO days, the Drs finally informed us that there was NO brain tumour...just meningitis.

what the?!!!!! This is a BIG joke right?! poor A thought she has brain tumour for ONE whole week ok!!!!!!! I mean meningitis is still a serious illness (according to reliable Dr Grace CHieng)...but..how can you compare it to brain tumor??!!

you are so DEAD,Dr "cuckoo"..I shall "curse" you for a LONG LONG time. for all the mental torture you've brought to us all..

Ok people...open ur eyes REAL big. We had the BIGGEST breakfast ever. Had to finish it so quickly too...cos I have to catch my bus. This pancake house has free floww coffee ok!! Yet I don't have time to even ask for a 2nd cup...bleah...

The harsh brown was really really GOOD...

Oh oh...forgot to mention about the yum cha session. It was good too...but I didnt take any pics of the nice food. Not the conventional kinda dim sum...they actually have some baked cheese with scallop dish. That can't be chinese food. Hahaha..The restaurant was so packed and the waiter always pulled a LONG, BLACK face. He looked and sounded rude BUT he's actually a nice person at heart. I'm sure..

Oh well...was feeling really depressed at the airport...before I leave Melbourne...(T_T)

Grace was such a great HOST..great company..great FRIEND. So Deying...just to let you knw...We have to share the same BESTEST BESTEST BESTEST friend, ok?

Melbourne is nice to me...weather was good!

We went to St. Kilda's beach...and ended up not going to the beach at all. Heehee* We were working REAL hard trying to finish our lunch....seafood...YUM~~

Grace being a really sweet and lovely sister threw a fantastic surprise party for her brother. Although I have to admit...the balloons were killers..I thought my lungs were collapsing trying to blow them up..-_-

I can't believe my luck. First time ever that I went to trim my eyebrows here and it has to go so wrong. Now I look awkward ALL the time. One eyebrow is shorter than the other...and it's higher too. Not only that, the pores near eyebrows bled. what the hell....tons of ppl went to this shop and I have to be so unlucky.
Then to rectify this problem, I went for a haircut. To cut my fringe and cover my eyebrows. It did cover my awkward eyebrows..but my hair is spoiled. bleah....

ANd I still can't find a job now. No one wants to hire me...why???!!! I even specially include a column in my resume that states : Willing to take up ANY positions.

Yet...(T_T)

Had a really bad day yesterday. Overslept and was late for lab meeting for half an hour. Not that anyone would notice that I'm missing...but I'm quite sure they are probably thinking how irresponsible I am....ahhhhhhh~~~
my fault this time. So I quietly went in...and quietly left the room immediately after the meeting ended. so scared...hope I'm not in trouble. shrug*
SOOO...of course I have to be nice to myself after a few traumas yesterday. Didnt wanna go into details for the rest...too much explanation & I'm lazy as usual. What's best to clear your blues but FOOD?? heehee* Must introduce this REALLY REALLY nice ice-cream I bought recently.
Lotte daifuku mini ice-cream!!! It not only looks cute, but tastes delicious as well. I love my green tea ice-cream...and anythign thats chocolate. Well...havent tried the vanilla yet. Then it's MINI...so u just pop into your mouth...chewy in the beginning and then comes the ice-cream that melts in your mouth...WoooooHHH~~

Today's weather has been good..not too cold. Somehow I've caught the "sleepy virus"...don't want to do anything but sleep. Its the aftermath of my ongoing insomnia...and they keep on going in cycles. Terrible...
A lot of things happened recently and I'm just too lazy to be detailed.
1)I'm still a freelance student
2)I gained back all the weight I've lost
3)Keng fai's coming to visit this saturday...
4) Went for my health checkup. Doctor said I'm alright. He asked me ALL sorts of questions BUT only 1 has something to do with my health. The rest are qns like.."how's school? where do you live now?oh, really? thats good. So what were you doing back in spore?"

5) Alice's back!! 2 weeks passed really quickly and its good to see her again. And she bought me my precious book...muacks!! thanks gal!!

It's written by the mother of Kitou Aya...The true life account of a 15 year old girl who was then diagnosed with Spino-cerebellum degeneration. The other book by Aya herself is with my sister now. Can't wait to read them both. Will let you guys know how they are after I finish reading.

Ohoh! Not to mention the drama based on Aya's life story...it was GREAT! Loved it so much....I cried from episode 1 to the very end. (My parents thought me n my sis went mad) The songs are really nice too...they can make u cry too..hahahahaha..
I've put a clip on the drama to let u guys have a look. The actress very cute...nishikido is great too..keke* I'm biased..sorry

It's been such a long time since I read a journal. Felt that my brain was dead for the past 6 months.....Can't believe I actually spent almost a day to read a review!!!!!!gasps*
Then last friday, I went back to the lab for my first lab meeting. CHeesss.....I was so overloaded with information that I started to DAZE off halfway thru. Before I know it, it was over. REally have no idea I managed to survive my honours last year.
Then I got scared when I heard one of the PhD student got bitten by a mouse...(or rat?)...and has to go for vaccination. scream***I'm trying very Very hard now to come up with my research plan that does not involve any mice/rat models....please...god BLESS me...

ohOH...one more IMPORTANT thing...I finally got to have my fave mocha last week! yipee!! my gloria jean's mocha...And can you believe it? My first fave mocha was made by my cute guy! It's a good sign...maybe it means I've better luck this year.

Not to forget the BEST TRIP I've ever been...JAPAN! Loved it...she's such a great friend, host....her parents and not forgetting dear Uran...they're are wonderful. Yes people, know you have heard me talked about it for a long time now. Still..I can't help it. >v<

So sorry I can't make it for her wedding day. It's just one of those union that made you say to yourself that they deserve it and made you believe true love~~~

After all the dramatic happenings...I'm finally back in Adelaide now! Yes..I know I have been complaining so much for the last few months, I shall spare you guys from the same old stories.

See my dear piggy? I brought it all the way to Adelaide..but before I can use it, my dear Lovette tore it. Sob sob* But what to do...she's still my cutest niece. Oh...forgot to tell you guys, for 80% of the time, she thinks she's a dinosaur. KAWAII~~~~

It has been a quiet weekend. Did nothing much since I'm back except eat n sleep in...n eat...n sleep...Not to mention catching up with all my friends. And also...I know I lost a bit of weight,BUT please stop telling me that I look OLDER now.. and I look better with my chubby cheeks. T_T
Can't help it since I have been suffering form the horrendous IBS for awhile. Yes you...I mean YOU...do not LAUGH at me for that....

Anyway, my beloved sis is in Brisbane now. Miss her heaps!! muacks muaks!! Hope she has lotsa fun....
